Little Mr. Man Baby Shower

Little Man invitations and party printables available in my shop.

In April I’m hosting a baby shower for a dear friend. Like any host nowadays, I obsessed over the theme of the shower for a long time…desperately searching for that perfect idea that would set my shower apart from others, but still keep it on a budget. Let’s be honest folks, we all don’t have the loads of money it takes to hire party planners, caterers, florists, photographers, and other vendors to create those picturesque–everything is exactly PERFECT– parties. Well, maybe some of you do, but I certainly do not. Heck, I just paid $50 to fill up my gas tank the other day!! But that’s a whole other story…I digress. We may not all have “help” to do things for us, but we have ourselves and our own personal time to add personal touches to a party that make a party both noteworthy and one of a kind. We’ve seen SO many new mommies on here that are proof of that…especially while juggling a small child!! So where there’s a will, there’s a way and DimplePrints gives you the tools you need to create those unique parties on your very own.

Without further adieu, I’d like to show you our new Little Mr. Man Baby Shower theme, as well as some of the things I plan to use to create an amazing shower for my friend.

I found one other shower online that was vaguely similar to a Mr. Man Shower and it was from Sweet and Saucy Shop. They did a bow tie baby shower from which several of the above pictures were pulled. The upper left picture was their tomato basil soup shooter, which I immediately had to serve (anyone have a good recipe?). Additionally, going down, they used mason jars with bow ties around the jar and matching paper straws…the pedestal they put the jars on was adorable. They made a diaper bow tie garland for decoration and (bottom right) served chicken salad croissants with the matching toothpick flags for lunch along with Bow Tie Pasta (how cute?!).  This shower is gorgeous.

Our DimplePrints Little Mr. Man Baby Shower invitation is on here and is available with a tie or a bow tie and in many different colors and patterns. For the flowers, I plan to use simple white tulips in simple white and clear vases throughout the room. I plan to make Little Mr. Man Chocolate Mustaches for the dessert table and for a fun accessory for the guests (picture from Full House).  I also hope to make a Bow Tie Sugar Cookie on a stick, similar to the onesie cookie on a stick listed above from SugarCraft.com. Instead of favors we are doing a cookie bar with sweets such as Red Velvet Cake Pops, Bow Tie Sugar Cookies, Snickerdoodles, Chocolate Walnut Chip Cookies, French Macaroons, and Oatmeal Raisin cookies. For desserts we’re going with a fruit variety of cupcakes to differentiate palates from the cookie bar. We are using Created by Diane’s recipes for Pomegranate White Chocolate Chip cupcakes with Pomegranate Cream Cheese Icing (what a mouthful) and Lemon Ricotta cupcakes with Raspberry Buttercream.

Our party package has so many unique ideas for this party and I have gone crazy with them all!! I even made this cute ribbon wreath for the front door of the shower…is this something anyone would like a tutorial on? Leave a comment if you’d like to see how it was made (update…link to this tutorial is posted here).

Please don’t mind the darling baby gate in the background…(although I really thought it added a lot of character to the picture!!).

Surprisingly, it’s very difficult to find argyle ribbon!!

I have many many more projects for this shower just getting under way and I’m only 5 weeks out. Have you ever thrown a Mr. Man baby shower? What ideas do you have for us? Send us your ideas and you may be the next guest blogger!

Remember, Piccadilly Circus Designs is hosting a new giveaway in just a few days!!! Check them out!!
