Customer Party: Magic Theme

Here’s a fun party submitted to us by Julie for her daughter’s birthday party…Julie gave us some great party details to share with you guys too! They used our Magic Show Party package….

Julie says…”We used the local scout hall hence the background but I used some beautiful purple fabric as a back drop to the cake to reflect the stage curtains on the invitation…

The cake – a 3 tier chocolate mud with chocolate ganache. The top two tiers that make the top hat are 6″ white chocolate mud and the lower tier is a 9″ dark chocolate mud. My daughter also loves ‘Littlest Pet Shop’ figurines so I hand modeled two of her favorites in gum paste. The rabbit head is Styrofoam covered in fondant and I used gum paste to make the ears and paws. I kept his face quite simple to reflect the image on the invitation.

Party favors – every child went home with a 4″ vanilla bean bunny cookie covered in fondant. I heat sealed the cookies in cellophane wrappers and used an Amy Atlas topper from the Sweet Style book ‘game night’ range to finish off the look. I also used an easter bunny chocolate mold and melted white chocolate, inserted lolly sticks and finished off with cellophane wrapper and purple ribbon…

The entertainment was by Sydney magician called Paul’s Magic http://www.paulsmagic.com.au/ and he was fantastic. He finished the show with a live rabbit which all of the children got to pat and then he created balloon animals and swords for all. Can’t recommend him enough!!”
