Cinnamon Apple Chex Treats Recipe

Hi everyone, it Autumn from Autumn Lynn’s Chocolate Sins!! This month instead of featuring a party I decided to make a new treat! Working on sweets tables I am always in search of a treat that isn’t just made of chocolate..hence the birth of the Cinnamon Apple Chex Treats!!

Cinnamon Apple Chex Treat Recipe

6 cups of Apple Cinnamon Chex

1 package of Hershey’s Cinnamon Chips (I found these at Walmart)

1 10 oz package of Jet-Puffed Marshmallows

2 tbs butter

1 cup granulated sugar

½ cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp. of cinnamon

1 gallon size Ziploc bag

Easy peasy directions!! Mix sugar, powdered sugar, and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Pour into bottom of Ziploc bag. Measure 6 cups of Apple Cinnamon Chex and pour into Ziploc bag on top of cinnamon sugar mixture!! Melt your Hershey’s chips in a microwave safe bowl in the microwave (mine were melted in about 1 minute). Pour the melted cinnamon chips into your bag. Seal the bag and shake until all the cereal is coated!!

In a separate microwave safe bowl add in your 10 oz bag of marshmallows and 2 tbsp. of butter (no need to use the stove). Heat for about a minute or until your marshmallows are completely melted. Stir in your Apple Cinnamon Chex mix and stir until your cereal mixture is completely coated. Pour the contents of your bowl in a greased cake pan and place in the refrigerator until firm (about an hour)!! Once firm remove from pan and cut into squares!! If your family loves apple and cinnamon they are sure to love this cinnamon treat!!
