Last Minute Halloween DIY Craft

Hello everyone! I’m Heidi from Heidi on Park. I am new to DimplePrints and so excited to bring you many fun and unique ideas to spruce up your everyday life. Today I want to show you a last minute halloween craft project DIY. This little project is so quick and easy… I love last minute! This simple little pumpkin is turned into an adorable teacher’s gift in less than 20 minutes, including gathering your supplies. I thought it would be a nice treat for my son’s preschool teachers. They have been back in school for a couple months and I felt they deserved a little surprise to brighten up a candy filled week.

To make the paper fan, first you want to cut a piece of scrapbook paper in half. Then start folding it accordion style like shown. Tie a piece of ribbon around the center and knot. Use double sided tape to secure the ends. Then you will have a complete circle.

I then used two different patterned washi tapes and created a little border on the edge of a tag. Using the gold paint pen I wrote the teachers first initial. I then stuck the tag to the center of the fan with double sided tape.

Using a longer piece of black ribbon I created a twist and taped it to the back of the paper fan. Then simply hung the completed fan from the pumpkin stem with the fan’s ribbon. I think it turned out adorable. I’m sure my boys will be very proud to take this to their teachers this week. You can also use this pretty pumpkin to dress up your inside decor or the front porch. You could also give this to a friend or family member for a little Halloween treat.

Now, go finish those last minute Halloween projects that have been on your to-do list!

Cheers,

Heidi
