DIY Screen Printing with Plaid Simply Screen & GIVEAWAY

For Father’s Day this year (I know, I’m a little behind in sharing this) I made my husband, father, and brother a fun “I Turn Grills On” shirt using Plaid Simply Screen Kit. I used the kit that I reviewed on I Heart Nap Time in the winter for this project. I did a write up over there and gave very detailed instructions on how to use the kit, so I’m not going to do that again this time, but it’s really easy and so fun to recreate things or sayings you see online. FOR EXAMPLE…fun DimplePrints printables could be used to make totes, shirts, towels, and more for your next party! AND it’s SOOOO EASY and completely customizable, honestly it’s one of my favorite crafting tools because when you want to make your family or children a shirt with a silly saying on it…all you need is the kit, a printer, and some paper and SOME CREATIVITY!

Here’s what I made the special guys in my life for father’s day….using Old Navy tshirts for $6 woot woot!

The guys really liked their shirts and I had fun making them something special for Father’s Day (even though my baby bro isn’t a dad…he’s a wonderful uncle and an additional role model for my son).

If you recall, our contributor, Holly, did a great feature on a fun graduation push up pop! And she used our Back To School freebie tags to make it even cuter.

Nest of Posies Giveaway!!

I’ve been SO excited about this giveaway since July when I first contacted Kellie to make my adorable 4th of July beach bag (custom designed I might add!). I love my bag and use it all the time to take my stuff to work in or pack the family up and head away for the weekend, so I couldn’t wait to do a giveaway with Kellie and introduce you to her fabulousity (yes, I just used that word). Without further adieu, here is the brain behind Nest of Posies herself!

Hello lovelies!
I’m Kellie from Nest of Posies.   I’m a busy mom just like all of you who loves to blog, create & try my hand at DIY.
Most of my days are filled with potty training my twins & stepping on Lego’s.  When I’m lucky I sneak in some craft time, but I mostly do that late at night after bedtime.  I firmly believe that creating or crafting anything – is the best therapy for those crazy days.
These 3 keep my hopping.  But I am truly blessed beyond measure that I get to be the one that answers, when they call for “Mommy.”  I never thought I would have kids.  So imagine my surprise when we found out we were expecting our first.  Then 2 years later, to see on the ultra-sound not one, but two babies inside.  Have mercy.  It was all I could do to hold it together.
This is my therapy office late at night.  It’s usually messy as can be & the carpet is decorated with thread & scrap fabric, but I love it in here.
As for my shop, I mainly make jute embellished bags with all sorts of fun stuff.  I have some bling in the shop ~

I also make BLOG NAME bags.  Where I mimic your logo of your blog from your header & use your color scheme to coordinate fabric rosettes to match your blog.
These are just a few examples, I truly enjoy making everyone of them.  Little did I know how far my idea would take off just over a year ago.  I’m always up to a new design or here lately even a some new products, so make sure you stop by.
