Monday Link Up Samplings–Amazing 4th of July projects

So let me start out by saying that my 4th of July bucket CONTENTS are coming along great. We’re going to the Lake this weekend with our family and friends, so I’m making my son and our friends’ daughter buckets of 4th of July goodies. In the buckets I put $4 towels from Target, a drink and snack cup, a glow stick, sparklers, pop-its, bubble sticks, “water bombs” or balls for the water, mini flags, juice boxes, fruit snacks, and apple juice cartons. The problem is my EPIC fail on decorating the pails I bought for them. I bought chalkboard spray paint, but apparently I’m a TERRIBLE spray painter and I got it all over the bucket on parts that weren’t supposed to be painted–new lesson learned to duct tape down everything that doesn’t need sprayed. This wouldn’t be so bad, but then I had issues with the paint markers I bought and ironically started the first bucket by misspelling my son’s name…zzzz-OMG. So needless to say these are “practice buckets”. Thank God they’re only $2. Hopefully tomorrow I can fix new ones and show you all my 4th of July projects I’ve been busy with this week!!

Speaking of projects, here are some lovely ladies who actually had amazing success with their projects and linked them up on Monday!

Giggles Galore did an adorable July 4th BBQ and made some cute firecracker favors for it (Mariah–I need to know where you find the time for this stuff!!):
