Hi Dimple Prints readers! It’s Megan from Coffee Cups and Crayons here again with a fun 4th of July recipe for you–Red, White, and Blue Sangria! It’s refreshing and festive and so easy to make!

Red, White, and Blue...4th of July Sangria!

How to Make Red, White and Blue Sangria

1 lb fresh strawberries

1 pint fresh blueberries

1 bottle pinot grigio

20 oz Sprite

splash of Grand Marnier

Wash the blueberries and strawberries and pat dry. Chop the strawberries into large pieces. Freeze 1/3 of blueberries and the strawberry pieces (uncovered) on a flat cookie tray. Pour the wine into a container and add the rest of the berries and a splash of Grand Marnier. Allow the sangria to marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours. Before serving add the Sprite and use the frozen berries for berry ice cubes in the glasses and in the pitcher.

Strawberry, Blueberry and White Wine Sangria

I love how bright and patriotic the berries look! This is the perfect drink for a summer barbecue. For large crowds all you need to do is double or triple the recipe. You can even pre-pour the sangria into mason jars with the tops on them and serve in a large bucket of ice.

Today we’re sharing with you a fun Art Party idea using DecoArt’s Social Artworking As a reward for my daughter’s good grades & behavior in school, she requested a fun playdate. I wanted to go a bit beyond a play-date since she always goes above and beyond in school.

Art party Table Setup 2 DimpelPrints
I had the priviledge of meeting DecoArt at SNAP this Spring and they offered me a great opportunity to host a party using there fun Social Artworking party sets. The set was amazing and it included everything you could need and want to throw a fun painting party. They have numerous designs available online. The instructions were easy to follow and the girls had a great time. All guests left the party with a one of a kind masterpiece created themselves.

Each art kit for the Social Artworking parties come with canvases, paints, aprons, easels, brushes and even transfer paper for the kids to start their projects. The kids got to go home with the kit and their own hand painted art.
For the food, I wanted to keep it simple. I did fruit on mini color wheel paint palettes, paint palette cupcakes, rice krispie paint brushes, confetti popcorn and colorful “Creative Juice”.

Since this was just a play-date party, I wanted to utilize things I already had around the house as decor. I used our ladder to hang the aprons, jars, cans, paintbrushes, etc to accent throughout the party. One of my favorite things was the doodle frame backdrop which I printed as an affordable draft large scale print at my local print and copy center. It only cost a few dollars & set a perfect backdrop for the party table.
We crafted a few simple items for the party. My favorite was the paintbrush “garland”, inspired by a recent party featured on Celebrations at Home.  I picked up the cheap paintbrushes at Lowe’s for only around $1/each & painted the handles in our party colors. I used a few simple party supplies like snack cups, paper straws, polka dot balloons & favor, from my girls over at Party on Purpose to accessorize!

It was one of the most fun parties I have hosted. The girls had a great time painting, socializing & snacking. We invite you to take a moment to look around DecoArt’s Social Artworking page for tons of ideas for YOUR next party whether it be for kids or adults alike, there are tons of fun options to make your party 100% unique.

We’d like to thank DecoArt and SocialArtworking for giving us this opportunity to host such a fun party and try out such fun products! They were perfect for our art playdate and the girls all had a blast.

Every time I help with an event it becomes my all-time favorite event…until the next event comes around and then I get swept away with that one and end up with a new favorite. This precious baby girl’s baby shower was no different! The navy and pink nautical baby shower theme is absolutely adorable and came together perfectly. Take a look!

As a late afternoon shower, we kept refreshments light and simple: cucumber & cream cheese wraps, pita chips & hummus, granola bars and goldfish, our “Catch of the Day”. We used circle embellishments on the lids of the individual hummus cups, made cones to hold the pita chips with coordinating nautical paper and wrapped granola bars with “It’s a Girl” wraps.

We added plenty of sweets to the menu as well, including color-coordinating candies, chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and the crowd favorite, layered jello. Checkout my blog this week for a recipe to these easy, delicious jello desserts that can be made to match any event!

Beverages included strawberry lemonade and blueberry water. We used lots of pennant banners throughout the event and decorated the “overflow” buffet with coordinating tissue paper puffs.

One of my favorite features in this nautical printable package were the straw flags that were made to fit like sails on the paper straws. {SO CUTE}!!

Our centerpieces were hard to fully picture, but were a wonderful addition to the event hall. We “upcycled” boxes wrapped in coordinating paper and old frappuccino bottles embellished with ribbon. We filled the bottles with brown sugar to look like sand, added a few coordinating circle signs and wove a rope around the whole thing. We cut a roll of brown craft paper in half to use as a table runner and also made mini “It’s a Girl” pennant banners that strung across the entire length of the table, connecting one centerpiece to the next. At each seat, guests received a homemade strawberry white chocolate chip cookie.

Guests were greeted with a “Message in a Bottle” table where they could leave a note for the new family. Behind the gift table, we hung a clothesline with several precious nautical themed outfits for Baby Ella. More coordinating pennant banners and circle signs were spread throughout.

Another glimpse at the main food table – isn’t it the sweetest?! Definitely my favorite event…this week!! For more event and craft ideas, visit me over at NBrynn

We recently had this adorable cowgirl party submitted to us by Stephanie from SK Designs! She used our Cowgirl Printables and we think she did a fantastic job on the party!!

Here’s what Stephanie told us about the party:

For this birthday party we chose to do a Cowgirl theme in Pink and Brown. Wanted poster Invitations set the mood and read, “WANTED Katelyn “Wild West” for crimes including shoot-outs, bank robbery, and turning 5!!” A handmade burlap wreath greeted guests as they arrived at the house. The birthday girl was decked out in a handmade tutu in pink and brown. Each guest chose a cowgirl (or cowboy!) hat, a bandanna, sheriffs badge, and a mustache!

The “Watering Hole” consisted of “Cactus Juice” (Strawberry Lemonade) served in mason jars with pink striped straws, and pink polka dotted wrapped water bottles. The main food table was set up with an old wooden box from a local tulip farm that went out of business, small hay bales, and serving ware from Home Goods. I decided that pies were more western than cake, so we served Razzleberry, Strawberry-Cherry, and blueberry pies! We had “Fools Gold” (goldfish crackers), Mini boxes of Raisins, “Cow Pies” (brownie bites), Oatmeal Raisin cookies, “Gold Nuggets” (Hershey’s gold nuggets), and caramel corn served in bandanna patterned cupcake liners. We had our fire pit going out in the yard for our little cowpokes to make S’mores in.

The kids played 4 games; including “Kate’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Shoot-Out” where they had to shoot targets I made using my cricut machine on tin cans with a little play gun. They had pony rides around the yard, and played “Snake in my Boot” (cowboy boot shaped Pinata), and the favorite game of the day was when they “Panned for Gold” in sand and were able to take their loot home with them in small fabric bags that I sewed using pink and brown fabrics.

After all the gifts were opened and food was eaten guests went home with pink favor boxes filled with cherry M&M’s that wished them all “Happy Trails” from “Wild West Katelyn”

My Adorable Cowgirl party printables were made by the talented Carli here at Dimple Prints, and my photographer was Jessica Marie Photography (https://www.facebook.com/JessicaMariePhotography13?fref=ts).

Hey everyone, it’s Autumn from Autumn Lynn’s Chocolate Sins! This week I am excited to share with you the gone fishing party that I put together for my boys!! Having two boys born 6 days apart I am lucky enough to have a double party each year!! This year the boys decided on a fishing theme!! We used THIS party package from DimplePrints to create our party–one of DimplePrints’ largest party packages YET!

dimpleprintspics 002

I really wanted to keep the party kind of rustic yet use a lot of color!! I was super lucky to have Carli at Dimpleprints create this gone fishing party package just for my event!! Every fishing party needs a tackle box!! My boys were turning 4 and 6 so I wanted to be sure to display that on their table….the top of my tackle box was the perfect place!! I then filled the tackle box with catch of the day chocolate covered Oreos, yummy gummy worms, and fishing reels made of out tagalong Girl Scout cookies and marshmallows (super yummy)!! Since you can never have enough chocolate I also used candy bar wrappers and covered Hershey chocolate bars!! The tackle box was by far my favorite element of the table!!

dimpleprintspics 005

My oldest had come up with an extensive list of items that he wanted on the table!! Cake pop bobbers, bass chocolate lollipops, popcorn, and dirt pudding!! I was hard at work making all his wishes come true!!

gone fishing desserts 2

Having his entire wish list covered…I felt the need to add a few other personal touches to the party!! I added fishing poles, cat tails, sugar cookies, and of course gold fish!! The inspiration for my fishing poles can be found here. I love how the gold fish turned out displayed in there little fry boxes…perfect for the guest to pick up and take along with them!!

gone fishing desserts

The cake was a collaborative decision that my boys came up with…I think my sister did a great job making the tackle box cake and she even made the fish match the fish in the gone fishing package!! I added Chex mix to party cones and named it fish food…everyone’s got to eat right!!!

gone fishing cake

Although I wanted to create a drink station…the weather was not real cooperative..so the drinks were just put out on a regular table in hopes that if it rained we could get everything in the house quickly!!gone fishing extrasThe signage at the party was a huge hit!! Dimpleprints always impresses me with the amount of options they add to their packages!!!

gone fishing signs

Dimpleprints party packages also come with images that allow you to make your own shirts…of course I did this…it saved me a ton of money and they turned out super cute!!

fishing party shirts

The party favors were simple but fun!! Small bait boxes that were filled with gummy worms!!

fishing party favors

The party was a huge success in the eyes of my boys..who have yet to stop talking about it!! They have already selected a camping theme for next year’s party!! Thanks for checking out my party and be sure to check out my shop Autumn Lynn’s Chocolate Sins for all your dessert table needs!!

Hi, it’s Christine and I’m happy to be back to share this ‘berry’ sweet lunch that I helped plan for the preschool teachers where my little ones go to school. I’ve mentioned before that I was a teacher in my pre-mommy life so I love to make teachers feel special. This theme would be perfect for teacher appreciation week or to celebrate the end of the school year.

strawberry table

I enlisted about ten Super Moms to help make food and set up which was amazing, I should do that every time I throw a party!  I don’t mind cooking and baking, but my favorite part of putting a party together is decorating and making things look festive, so I was able to focus on that. My friend Sarah, who has amazing party planning skills, helped set everything up.

strawberry dessert table

I must say, teachers give the BEST reactions to a cute party. Lots of oohing, aahing, gratitude, and picture taking, I think I was the one who ended up feeling the most special! I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since they are in the business of making people feel special and loved.

Thank you Carli from Dimple Prints for the adorable “Thank You Berry Much!” banner and strawberry party package. I had actually used the strawberry package for my daughter’s 3rd birthday and it’s still every bit as sweet. One of these days maybe I’ll post some pictures from that event, it was a fun one. I hope you all have a ‘berry’ good week!
