Looking for a Fall birthday theme? Look no further…

So if you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m Abbey and with me in this pic is my son, Andrew.

I blog for Carli, while she does all the great design work for DimplePrints–she’s so super busy…so that’s where I come in. My son is going to be two years old in October and I’m getting geared up to plan his birthday party. We’re not going crazy or anything, but I am going to make it very nice and fun for the occasion. Last year we used the DimplePrints baseball theme and it was a HUGE hit with the family, that’s how I got hooked on DimplePrints.

This year, we wanted to do something fun and different. My son’s birthday is October 28th and my husband’s birthday is November 1st. My husband is a HUGE lover of Halloween and really wanted my son’s party to be something Halloween related. I thought the Fall theme might work, but I thought it may be a little too “adult” for a second birthday. Then I liked the D.P. Halloween package, but thought it may be a little too scary for a toddler’s party. Then after some Pinterest searching, I discovered a theme I adored last year, but discovered too late. A CANDY CORN theme!! There are SO many fabulous things you can do with candy corn in the fall and I intend to use them for my son’s birthday. I created a Pinterest board with over a hundred pins on it for things you can do for a Halloween Candy Corn themed birthday. I’m going to share a few with you today.

I’m also getting some one of a kind, handmade chocolate dipped Oreos from Sweeties by Kim that are in candy corn patterns and polka dots. No picture yet, but above is another cookie she did. SO PRETTY, right? I can’t wait to show you the final product!! Visit her site here .

Let me tell you–this is just the tip of the iceberg folks. There are a million cute ideas and I hope to really make this party special with all of them. What ideas and boards are you putting together for your child’s fall birthday? Carli just finished up the Candy Corn Party Package, available here. Happy hump day ladies and gents, I’m off to relax.
