Candy Corn Birthday Party

**As seen on Amy Atlas Events, Tip Junkie, and Baby Lifestyles!

Well, folks I got through this week. I really wasn’t sure I would at first. I had the most intensely busy week ever, but it all got done and it turned out exactly as I had hoped. DimplePrints  made my candy corn printables, which turned out amazing (available HERE). You can visit back HERE to see my invitations and how I used PSA Essentials on them. We got a lot of compliments on everything and it was really fun to see everyone standing around the dessert table trying to decide which dessert to try next. As a HUGE sweet tooth myself, my favorite part of parties are the desserts. I am all about the dessert tables, so I tried to keep the food more simple and really go overboard on the desserts. I served BBQ Pulled Chicken sandwiches, cheesy potatoes, caesar pasta salad, chips, apples with carmel, cheese and crackers, veggies and dip, buffalo chicken dip, and various drinks. All my dips were served in carved out pumpkins. 🙂

For desserts we served candy corn iced cupcakes in vanilla and chocolate, mini-mason jar apple pies, candy corn butterfingers, candy corn cheesecake mousse, Sweeties by Kim Chocolate Covered Oreos (amazing!), candy corn sugar cookies, and for a favor I made Candy Corn Bark to go home. Want to see the pics? Check out my party!! The link at the bottom gives links to all the amazing vendors I used, as well as where I got my recipes for some of the desserts.

Front of my house with freshly painted Adirondack chairs (thanks to all who weighed in on the color on Facebook! Clearly I went with teal).
 Cupcakes from Giant Eagle
Andrew’s smash cake with bunting (I LOVE bunting)
 Candy Corn pom’s from DecoPOMS
36″ polka dot balloons! Best thing ever!
The cupcakes were too cute to put the cupcake toppers that I made on them 🙂
Amazing chocolate covered Oreos courtesy of Sweeties by Kim!
Mini Mason Jar Apple Pies…a HUGE party hit. I wrapped twine around each 4 oz. mason jar.
Homemade candy corn sugar cookies courtesy of my momma
Candy corn bark cups as a favor–cups from DecoPOMS
I decided that I wanted to go for an Autumn Country look for the party, so I used a lot of hay bales from JoAnn’s as well as pennant bunting and more yellows and oranges than any other colors.
Here was the main dessert table…with a few desserts missing on it because the table was too small for everything LOL
 Candy Corn Butterfinger Pops
Hand painted wooden spoons from Sucre and Spice
Mini mason jar apple pies with twine from Shop Sweet Lulu
Chocolate Covered Oreo Cookies from Sweeties By Kim
Aren’t the cookies amazing?!
I put vinyl “2’s” on all the pumpkins for added decoration
Nothing says a fall party like mason jars and orange burlap as placemats. Orange striped paper straws also from Sweet Lulu.
I LOVE wrapped water bottles to match party decor
New take on the veggie tray
Apples with carmel
Candy Corn Cheesecake Mousses–adorned with handmade chocolate wafers from Sweeties by Kim

  1. Oh my gosh! So awesome, all of it! I tried leaving a comment on the Thanksgiving printables but it won’t accept my comment. I wanted to tell you to come link up that post in my Holiday Tips, Crafts & Recipes link up! Here it is:

Hello! I am planning my daughters first birthday, she turns 1 in October. Nothing like getting a head start!!! I’ve been scouring the Internet for any way to do the lovely candy corn cut out banner. Cricut, die cuts, etc. and I’m having no luck! Is there somewhere on your site I can purchase them or can you divulge your secret to these perfect candy corns?
