Art Party with DecoArt SocialArtworking

Today we’re sharing with you a fun Art Party idea using DecoArt’s Social Artworking As a reward for my daughter’s good grades & behavior in school, she requested a fun playdate. I wanted to go a bit beyond a play-date since she always goes above and beyond in school.

I had the priviledge of meeting DecoArt at SNAP this Spring and they offered me a great opportunity to host a party using there fun Social Artworking party sets. The set was amazing and it included everything you could need and want to throw a fun painting party. They have numerous designs available online. The instructions were easy to follow and the girls had a great time. All guests left the party with a one of a kind masterpiece created themselves.

Each art kit for the Social Artworking parties come with canvases, paints, aprons, easels, brushes and even transfer paper for the kids to start their projects. The kids got to go home with the kit and their own hand painted art.
For the food, I wanted to keep it simple. I did fruit on mini color wheel paint palettes, paint palette cupcakes, rice krispie paint brushes, confetti popcorn and colorful “Creative Juice”.

Since this was just a play-date party, I wanted to utilize things I already had around the house as decor. I used our ladder to hang the aprons, jars, cans, paintbrushes, etc to accent throughout the party. One of my favorite things was the doodle frame backdrop which I printed as an affordable draft large scale print at my local print and copy center. It only cost a few dollars & set a perfect backdrop for the party table.
We crafted a few simple items for the party. My favorite was the paintbrush “garland”, inspired by a recent party featured on Celebrations at Home.  I picked up the cheap paintbrushes at Lowe’s for only around $1/each & painted the handles in our party colors. I used a few simple party supplies like snack cups, paper straws, polka dot balloons & favor, from my girls over at Party on Purpose to accessorize!

My name is Carli, owner, designer & creative mind behind DimplePrints. I am married to my high school sweetheart & we have 3 wonderful kids. In the beginning I simply started by wanting to share a piece of our lives with loved ones by sending cards & invitations for special occasions. With the support of family, friends & great customers, it has grown into Dimpleprints.

What an awesome reward for doing well in school! I love everything about this party 🙂 My daughter is turning 10 next month and I was planning on having a painting party for her (she loves anything crafty). I love the paintbrush garland, what a cute idea! I’m gonna have to check out the printables, the colors are great and her name is ABBY too 🙂

  3. IT turned out darling! Love the engineer print backdrop and of course the paint brush garland!

Super cute ideas, can’t wait to try many of them! I love the doodle frame backdrop- it would be the perfect activity for my son’s art party I’m planning (something we could hang in his room after all his friends have drawn on it). How can I get a copy of the file that you printed? Thanks.

  7. Crystal says

I love the backdrop. I am doing an artist party for my daughter and this would be perfect. How can I get a copy of the file that you printed?

  8. This is darling!! My daughter is having an art party in just a couple of weeks, and I would love to use the same doodle frame backdrop. Do you sell the image file? If so, I would love to purchase. (Pretty please!!)
