Princess Theme Birthday

Hi everyone! This is Christine from The Real World Wilmington and I’m so excited to be here today sharing my Princess Theme Birthday Party!

My baby girl Elly turned 5 recently and was set on having a princess party this year. I knew the princess theme was inevitable and I’d have to embrace it at some point so we focused on her favorite Disney princess, Cinderella when planning. Dimple Prints designed an amazing and adorable princess party package for the event. It was exactly everything that I was hoping for! The printables are girly and perfectly princess-y!

Elly and her guests started the party by decorating tiaras then as they were finishing up the real live Cinderella arrived to the party to read a story, teach the kids a special dance and hang out with the guests. They loved her! They also decorated wands and painted a cardboard castle, which was a big hit. I made the wands using wooden sticks from the craft store and sparkly cardstock cut into star shapes.

Our princess Elly requested hot dogs as the main course with chocolate cupcakes for dessert. We added some other fun treats to the food table for everyone to enjoy. I had fun coming up with princess themed names for all of the foods! Here are some ideas for your little princess: charming chocolates, tiara treats, magical marshmallows, fairy Godmother wands, royal jewels (fruit salad), and princess party mix.

This was the first time I attempted making tulle poms, I found a tutorial online then set to work. They were quick and easy and make a nice impact when decorating. I also used modge podge to glitter up wooden frames to add some bling to our food table. The Cinderella silhouette cutouts came from an etsy shop then I mounted them on Dimple Prints paper that was included in the princess party package. I painted the ‘Once Upon A Time’ sign and made a pretty tulle wreath for the front door.

The party was a great success! I still can’t believe my little girl is now 5, but I’m looking forward to seeing what her 5th year holds in store!
